How to repair BMW F18 N52 Engine MSV90 DME BSD failure oil measurement not possible
BMW N52 Engine MSV90 DME usually report error like oil measure not possible, fault code: CD9304- BSD communication fault. and the fault code can not be deleted.
First step is to check the cables, exclude to cables failure. measure the BSD data line voltage. If all the cables in good condition, check the DME.
If confirmed the DME failure, it can be repaired, not very complicated, a chip inside damaged. in this article we will introduce how to repair it
Better not open this ECU housing, because the glue is very tight, hard to open, drill a small hole on the back of the DME, the postion please refer the picture above, use a small Nozzle hot air gun to remove the chip – TJA1020, Should be very careful, Change a new chip, clean the dust, the seal this hole, this repair work is done.
